She didn’t get a good view of the stage, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Charise Mills, who’s been a fan of Hong Kong-born singer Jackson Wang for 10 years, attended his MagicMan 2 World Tour concert in Vancouver on April 5 this year, and she shared on Aug 19 that her ticket was “basically free”.

In her video posts on Instagram, she said while performing his song GBAD, the 32-year-old star noticed the audience in her area – situated on one side of the stage – might not have been able to see him well.

Mid-song, he asked if they could see the performance and motioned for them to move closer.

After completing that set, he went over to them again and asked again: “Hey can you guys see? Can you guys scooch over a little bit?” before remarking: “What the f*** is this setting, man?

He apologised and reassured the audience in that section, telling them not to worry and that he would go over later: “I’m sorry that this is organised the way it is. My bad, I didn’t even know this.”

Charise said in her post that her section was not indicated as having obstructed views.

She added there were online posts after the show that concert-goers could request for a refund and she contacted ticketing sales platform Ticketmaster.

Screengrabs of her emails showed the company saying the concert organiser did not authorise refunds.

But she cited posts circulating online that Jackson was allowing refunds and less than two weeks later, Ticketmaster responded that they had looked into the request and approved it.

At the end of her video post, Charise wrote to Jackson: “Thanks for basically letting me watch your concert for free.”

Jackson, who is a member of the K-pop group Got7, started the tour in 2025 and wrapped up the North and Latin America leg of his solo world tour in late April this year.
