One thing celebrities can’t seem to resist when they come to Singapore? Chilli crab.
K-pop boy group Exo — comprising Suho, 35, Chanyeol and D.O, both 33, as well as Kai and Sehun, both 32 — came to Singapore late July for two concerts at Singapore Indoor Stadium for the final stop of their Exo Planet #6 – EXhorizon tour.
Their team ordered chilli and pepper crabs for them on July 24 but unfortunately for Kai and D.O, the local delicacies were all gone before they could even get a whiff of them.
A seven-minute video titled Now It’s Gone was uploaded to the group’s YouTube channel on Aug 17 and the video caption read: “Exo ordered 10 servings of chilli crab in Singapore”.
Kai, who was seated on a black couch next to Sehun, said in the video: “Aren’t all those just empty crab shells? There’s none left for me?”
The clip cut to an orange thermal bag filled with what appears to be empty boxes that previously contained the crabs and fried mantou.
Kai added: “How is there nothing left when you got 10 servings?”
D.O, also known as Doh Kyung-soo, approached the scene and asked: “Did you eat it all?”
“But the thing is I haven’t even tried it,” said Kai.
One person is heard asking if they had ordered 10 servings earlier, which Chanyeol denied while having his hair and make-up done: “The one box has two servings. It’s definitely not 10 servings… I feel like someone took it — one chilli and one black pepper crab,” he added.

The mystery of who devoured everything is later revealed when the video cut to Chanyeol putting on an apron — which appears to be from restaurant chain Jumbo Seafood — before digging into the delicacy alongside Suho.
At least two boxes of fried mantou, a box of chilli crab and one box of black pepper crab can be seen on the table.
“Can’t wait till tomorrow,” Chanyeol remarked. “It’s not enough even if you eat it every day.”
Sehun later took a few pieces of fried mantou and dipped them into the box of chilli crab.
Chanyeol recalled the previous time he ate the dish with Sehun in 2023, when the pair were in Singapore for their sub-unit’s fan concert.
“We ate like 30 of them back then when we went to the restaurant,” he revealed. “We ate too much.”
“We went and said sorry to the crabs,” added Sehun.
At one point, Chanyeol said that the chilli crab was so good he started to have a headache but continued eating anyway.
Meanwhile, Suho remarked that it was “harder to eat than ganjang gejang (Korean soy sauce-marinated crab)”.

The eating session continued as Chanyeol asks Sehun to help open the second and last box of chilli crab that was under the table.
Suho continued eating after Chanyeol wrapped up his meal and revealed that it was his first time eating a meal so “hardcore”.
He explained, during the days when Exo was very active with performances, he was quite persistent with his diet and would “eat just one bite” of such foods.
At the end of the video, a photo of the order receipt showed that they had in fact only ordered two servings of chilli crab, five servings of fried mantou and one serving of black pepper crab.
The video ended with Chanyeol declaring himself a “chilli crab expert”.
