Jack Quaid gave a short yet telling verdict on what it was like working with Meghan Markle on their upcoming film, “Close Personal Friends.”

“It was insane,” he admitted to Entertainment Tonight last week, before quickly swerving around Markle to praise his other cast mates.

“The main cast of it is myself, Brie Larson, Henry Golding and Lily Collins which is just an incredible group of people to be a part of,” the son of legendary actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan gushed.

“Everyday we went to set and we just tried our best to make each other laugh.”

Although Jack didn’t have much to say about the Duchess of Sussex, her role in the comedy marked her big return to acting eight years after ending her Hollywood career.

She plays herself in the film and was spotted on set in Pasadena, Calif., in the Amazon MGM Studios production last November.

“This is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves,” a source from the Amazon MGM Studios production told the Sun at the time.

The insider added the Markle, 44, “has been swamped with offers but this one felt right.”

“It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set,” the source continued. “Everyone involved is super-excited, and have been sworn to secrecy about her involvement.”

The production member also said that her husband, Prince Harry, is “really supportive” of her decision to return to acting.

Markle made the decision to step back from her work in Hollywood back in 2017, amid her engagement to the Duke of Sussex.

Her most notable role was portraying the character Rachel Zane in “Suits” from 2011 to 2018 — which the royal family reportedly raised concerns over when she first started dating Harry as they had “never seen anything like that.”

“It’s a new chapter, right?” she said of leaving her role in the legal drama while looking ahead to a new life.

“I’ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to work with [Harry] as a team,” she added.

In 2020, Markle and Harry quit their duties as working members of the royal family, and subsequently moved to Southern California where they raise their two children: son Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
