Kanye West has sparked health fears after he appeared noticeably bloated while stepping out for a rare date night in Los Angeles with his wife Bianca Censori.
As the couple headed to a screening of The Housemaid, a new movie starring Sydney Sweeney, some observers expressed worry over the controversial rapper’s altered appearance.
An eyewitness even told the Daily Mail that West, 48, looked ‘puffy’ and ‘sluggish’ on the outing as he attempted to cover up in a brown leather jacket and dark trousers.
Meanwhile, Censori, 30, showed off her slender figure in a skin-tight, sheer bodysuit paired with lace-up, silver heels.
West has not addressed his new look, but a source close to the star suggested his appearance may be tied to indulgent eating habits amid constant travel.
‘Kanye has been traveling so much so he has been going out to eat a lot, and hitting the bread basket while treating himself to pasta because it’s winter, it’s cold, and a man has to fill his belly sometimes,’ an insider told the Daily Mail.
‘He has had a problem with his weight for decades and tries his hardest to stay on a diet, but it is just not easy.’

West, 48, kept things casual in a brown leather jacket, dark trousers and boots, while Censori, 30, once again turned heads with a skin-tight, sheer bodysuit paired with lace-up heels as she walked ahead of her husband through a parking structure
The stark contrast between West’s apparent indulgences and the strict standards he is said to impose on his wife’s appearance won’t be lost on some fans.
In November last year, the Mail learned that West micromanages what Censori eats and how often she exercises, enforcing what sources described as a ‘firm diet.’
Meanwhile, he reportedly treats himself to his favorite comfort foods, including fried chicken and macaroni and cheese, as often as he wants, while concealing his body in hoodies and sweatpants.
Despite the dynamic raising eyebrows, some insiders insist Censori does not mind.
‘Most women would hate this move, they would think their husband was controlling them, but Bianca likes it because she feels her husband is supporting her and helping her look as good as she can,’ an insider told the Daily Mail at the time.
‘Bianca likes putting her body on display, she loves flaunting her curves, she is kind of an exhibitionist.’
A second source insisted that West is ‘nice about it, not some monster,’ claiming he measures her waist only to design clothing rather than to monitor her weight.
The first insider also stressed that Censori eats healthily, favoring vegetables and protein over carbs and sugar.
‘Bianca has always watched her figure, she has never ever been fat, she finds power in being thin and she likes that,’ the insider said. ‘So if the dinner is a small portion, who cares?’

Censori, an Australian fashion designer with a master’s degree from the University of Melbourne, met West in late 2020 while working as an architectural designer at his clothing brand Yeezy.
West finalized his divorce from Kim Kardashian after 8 years of marriage in November 2022, and wed Censori in secret the following month.
Since then, she has become his self-described ‘muse’, frequently stepping out in daring, barely-there outfits that have fueled constant debate.
This outing was rare for West who has largely remained out of the spotlight in recent months, following widespread condemnation over his repeated anti-Semitic remarks and vile behavior that have left him shunned by much of the music industry and wider Hollywood.
He has been spending a lot of his time in Japan as a result, but has nonetheless doubled down. Last May, he released a song titled ‘Heil Hitler’ that no streamers have allowed on their platform.
