Katherine Ryan’s daughter Violet, 16, has vowed to have lip filler when she turns 18 – despite her mum’s traumatic experience with the procedure.
In an interview with The Times about their beauty regimes and favourites, during which the determined teen revealed her plans: ‘I will definitely have lip filler when I’m 18. Just half a millilitre. It will look so nice!’
The funnywoman has spoken in the past about being left scarred for life due to her experiences with cheap filler due to lack of research or funds.
She said: ‘I had really dodgy lip injections when I was young. And that was because I didn’t have the information or funds… That was when I was 21. It’s never gone away. I still have scar tissue. I don’t know what they injected in my lips.’
Despite her opposition to her daughter undergoing the procedure, she rejoiced in UK laws surrounding the subject: ‘Luckily, the law is on my side at this age’, yet Violet countered: ‘Yes, but at 18 I don’t have to ask your permission’.

Katherine gave birth to her fourth child, a daughter called Holland Juliette, in October
Katherine previously revealed her first experience with fillers was ‘this amateur doing it in a basement for cash’ with what she believed to be silicone.
Given the lasting impact of her botched work, the star revealed she had tried to explain to Violet about what she will look like at 40.
She said: ‘I tell 16-year-olds what my mum told me, you think you won’t care what you look like when you’re 40 because that’s basically the grave — but you do still care. And you need to make decisions at 16 for the rest of your life.’
Continuing the warnings and future impact of her beauty choices, Violet admitted she is a fan of sun worshipping – yet is aware of the perils.
She went on: ‘I really, really like to tan. But now I know what wrinkles are, and I don’t want them so I wear SPF 50 on my face and SPF 30 on my body.’
Katherine has previously discussed her other cosmetic work and insisted she is not affected by her critics following her slew of procedures.
She said: ‘I’m impervious to criticism. If people want to gossip about the way I look, I feel I’m providing them with a useful service as a comedian…
‘Some people really like to criticise and I don’t mind, like as long as they’re having a good time doing it. I’m so lucky. I really don’t care.’
Katherine also spoke of her postitive experiences, saying: ‘I absolutely loved getting breast implants. I had no breasts and they never grew’ (pictured with husband Bobby Koostra)

‘I was lucky because I went to a really great board-certified surgeon, and I always had this idea of what was reasonable and proportionate…
‘I never had any body dysmorphia. We see some celebrities who are like, ‘I want boobs bigger than my head!’, [but] I was always pretty conservative. And it really did transform my life. I felt so much more feminine, so much more beautiful.’
Violet is Katherine’s child from a previous relationship, while she shares son Fred, four, daughters Fenna, two, and Holland Juliette, five months, with her husband and childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra.
