Lauren Sánchez dropped a quick couple of pounds just before the Met Gala on Monday with a little help from the New York Fire Department.

“I went to visit the New York Fire Department and did their training,” the former journalist told Vogue in an interview published on the day of the massive soirée, calling it “probably the most unique Met prep ever.”

Sánchez revealed the training routine included practicing how to save lives, crawling through an obstacle course filled with smoke, and donning heavy gear.

“It was bananas, but I loved it,” she told the magazine. “I probably lost about two pounds doing it.”

She also shared that she had a final fitting with Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry for her stunning midnight blue gown, and a facial appointment prior to the red carpet event.

The silk gown — complete with a sultry lace-up back — was inspired by John Singer Sargent’s “Madame X” portrait, which was once called the “world’s most scandalous” painting.

Sánchez’s form-hugging frock featured pearl and jewel details draped over both shoulders, in a direct homage to the painting.

“The theme is ‘Costume Art,’ and that’s exactly what Elsa Schiaparelli was doing 100 years ago,” she told Vogue of selecting the design house for fashion’s biggest night.

“She wasn’t just decorating bodies — she was making art on bodies.”

Sánchez was seen stepping out for an afterparty in an equally form-fitting glittering pink strapless gown.

Bezos, 56, previously divulged that she shed pounds for her lavish, star-studded wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos last June by sticking to her regular workout routine.

“Some people meditate, I work out,” she told Vogue at the time.

“It’s something Jeff and I do every morning. We have our coffee, we talk about whatever’s going on and then we go to the gym.”

Though she limited salt and alcohol intake for a few weeks, she stopped short of a restrictive diet, telling the magazine that she “like[s] food.”

She added, “Food is such a big part of life. I’m Latin!”
