The stars were out on Sunday and, as is tradition, they were sipping on the evening’s signature cocktail. Fittingly titled “The Golden Record,” this year’s creation is centered around Patrón, the Official Tequila Partner of the 2026 Grammy Awards.
With its deep roots in music culture, Patrón’s partnership with the awards show makes perfect sense. From Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert to Lil Jon and Robin Thicke, artists have featured the spirit in over 400 songs, with recognition across a wide range of musical genres. In the late ’90s and 2000s, Patrón became a hip-hop symbol of success and celebration, a legacy that’s cemented it as one of the most referenced alcohol brands in music history.
Cut to Grammy week 2026: Patrón debuted The Golden Record cocktail. Kehlani, Leon Thomas, Mustard, Becky G and FKA Twigs were just a handful of stars caught on camera celebrating with the tequila-based beverage (more photos below). And now, Patrón invites everyone to join in at home by raising a glass with the signature cocktail centered around Patrón El Alto, a rare blend of Extra Añejo, Añejo and Reposado tequilas. Here’s the recipe, the brainchild of award-winning mixologist Daniel Gonzalez of Licorería Limantour in Mexico City:
The Golden Record Recipe

- 1 oz Prosecco
- 0.5 oz Fino Sherry Tio Pepe

“The Grammy Awards celebrate artistry at the highest level, and PATRÓN’s uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and quality mirrors that pursuit of excellence,” says Adam Roth, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and Business Development, The Recording Academy. From the red carpet to backstage — and audiences at home around the world — we’re excited to toast with The Golden Record as we kick off this spirited new partnership.”
