Hayden Panettiere bailed on her Creep I.E. Con appearance at the last minute due to a mystery “emergency.”

The convention — which is taking place July 11 and July 12 — announced the news via Instagram on Friday, informing potential guests that the “Scream” star, 36, is still welcome to appear at another show in the future.

“Hayden Panettiere has an emergency and will not be able to attend this weekend. We are looking forward to her appearing at an upcoming show,” the statement read.

In her place, “Lolita” star Dominique Swain was announced as a new guest who will appear on Saturday and Sunday.

A rep for Panettiere did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Panettiere was originally slated to appear alongside her “Scream 4” co-star Nico Tortorella as a sort of reunion for the stars.

Additional stars expected to make an appearance this weekend include Christopher Lloyd, Mira Sorvino, Tara Reid, Billy Zane and Jamie Campbell.

Panettiere joins a list of other stars who also pulled out of the convention including Tori Spelling —another scream queen, who starred in the second installment in the “Scream” franchise.

Christina Ricci, John Carroll Lynch and Carel Struycken rescheduled their appearances for a later date.

Before she became a horror film star, Panettiere (who recently released her memoir,“This Is Me: A Reckoning”) began her acting career as a child, starring in commercials before she landed roles on soap operas “One Life to Live” in 1994 and “Guiding Light” in 1996.

In May, the actress detailed her “brutal” experience as a child star while speaking at a panel discussion in West Hollywood, California.

“I had my first identity crisis,” Panettiere shared. “I remember exactly where I was, standing in my bedroom at 12 years old.”

“It’s the most brutal experience, like the stark cold room, and just this row of people judging you,” she said.
