Anna Nicole Smith’s ex Larry Birkhead spoke out against the upcoming film “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor,” which tells the story of Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, who was implicated in Smith’s 2007 death.

“We absolutely object to any of Anna Nicole’s, my life, my daughter’s life being used in a movie,” Birkhead told “Entertainment Tonight” in a new interview.

“And being made characters out of someone [who] was a doctor that supposedly people were supposed to trust.”

“Trust Me, I’m a Doctor” is based on Kapoor’s 2017 book, in which he details his experience being Smith’s primary physician before her drug overdose at age 39.

Kapoor was charged with illegally funneling excessive prescription drugs to the Playboy model, but he was acquitted following a 2010 trial. Kal Penn is playing Kapoor in the film.

Birkhead, who dated Smith from 2003 to 2006 and is the father of her 19-year-old daughter, Dannielynn, told “ET” he tried to stop Kapoor from making the new biopic.

“I actually have had conversations with this doctor and his representatives. I warned them about the harm and the emotional distress that this puts on not just myself but also, most importantly, Dannielynn, and how this could impact her and the things that she sees,” the 53-year-old photographer shared.

Birkhead also noted Smith’s story “has been done several times” before, including a “Law & Order” episode and a 2013 Lifetime movie starring Agnes Bruckner.

Abbie Cornish, who plays Smith in “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor,” doesn’t have Birkhead’s stamp of approval, either.

“I’m sure she’s probably a nice girl and a great actress. But I don’t think she quite embodied Anna Nicole,” Birkhead stated. “And that’s not really an attack on her.”

“I have yet to see someone who actually embodied the spirit and the looks and the persona of Anna Nicole,” he added.

Birkhead revealed he’s even taken legal action to stop the biopic’s release.

“I have filed a complaint with the California Medical Board over Dr. Kapoor’s participation in this movie,” the father of one said. “I’m just going to let the process, you know, play itself out, and see what they have to say about that.”

As for Dannielynn, Birkhead said his daughter “had some choice words” about her mother’s story being exploited by Kapoor.

“I don’t wanna speak for her on this, but she had some choice words for this doctor and this project,” he said.

Birkhead also explained that while Dannielynn is over 18, his job as her dad is still “to continue to protect her daily.”

“Trust Me, I’m a Doctor” will be released in theaters on Oct. 16.
