Gwyneth Paltrow traded her bone broth for au jus.
After facing backlash for her wellness tips that were dubbed a “starvation diet,” the “Shakespeare In Love” star was spotted feasting on a steak sandwich, fries and a massive ice cream sundae at NYC’s The Corner Store on Friday.
A Page Six spy spotted the 52-year-old actress ordering the Wagyu French Dip sandwich ($35), Classic Sea Salt fries ($12) and the Samoa Sundae ($18) while she dined with longtime pal Amy Griffin and another unidentified friend.
“Rich Kids of Beverly Hills” star Morgan Stewart was also at a booth next to them.
This new sighting comes almost two years after Paltrow admitted in an episode of the “Art of Being Well” podcast that she practices intermittent fasting and typically eats bone broth for lunch and paleo food for dinner.
At the time, former “View” co-host Meghan McCain criticized the Oscar winner’s “washed-out” appearance. McCain also blasted the Goop founder for “broadcasting” her lifestyle to the world and “selling it” on her lifestyle brand’s website.
The “Iron Man” actress later defended her wellness tips, saying that because she was suffering from “very high levels of inflammation” and long COVID, she had to eat a very specific diet.
“I have been working to really focus on foods that aren’t inflammatory, [and] it’s been working really well,” the “Shallow Hal” star said on her Instagram Story in March 2023.
“This is based on my medical results and extensive testing I’ve done over time,” she continued, noting that her daily diet wasn’t “meant to be advice for anyone else.”
Paltrow went on to say that her eating habits had “been very powerful and positive” for her. However, she also made it clear that she doesn’t eat those routine foods “all day every day.”
Paltrow further claimed that she eats “far more than bone broth and vegetables,” saying, “I eat full meals. I also have days where I eat whatever I want, French fries or whatever.”
Clearly, she wasn’t joking — even Paltrow has cheat days. Stars are just like us.
