Gwen Stefani paid tribute to her and Blake Shelton’s fifth wedding anniversary on Friday – just hours before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s NYC nuptials.
The singer, 56, uploaded photos from her and Blake Shelton’s wedding, which took place on July 3, 2021, to her Instagram page and her X (formerly Twitter) account.
Many of the stunning images featured Stefani, who was previously married to rocker Gavin Rossdale, in her custom Vera Wang wedding gown and veil.
One shot showed the couple holding hands at the altar as their officiant Carson Daly led the intimate ceremony held at Shelton’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Another captured Stefani with her back turned as she made the dramatic walk down the aisle to a visibly emotional Shelton.
‘5 years married to my forever,’ she gushed in the caption of her social media posts.
Despite it being the actual date of her and Shelton’s anniversary, some fans boldly assumed that Stefani was trying to steal Swift’s wedding thunder.

Swift’s representative confirmed that the singer married NFL superstar Kelce at New York City’s Madison Square Garden at 7:30pm ET in front of a starry crowd with comedian Adam Sandler serving as their officiant.
Stefani made her first anniversary post on Instagram just four hours before Swift and Kelce tied the knot in NYC but her tribute on X was published just one hour before the A-list couple’s marriage was confirmed publicly.
‘Now girl why you do Taylor like that lol I am not even a swiftie but this feel like a very attention seeking post,’ one annoyed fan replied under Stefani’s X post.
A Swiftie accused Stefani of ‘knowing what [she was] doing’ by posting photos from her own wedding on Swift’s widely publicized wedding date.
Another remarked that they were ‘fascinated by [Stefani]s] choice to post this while Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding was taking place.’
Many fans came to Stefani’s defense as they reminded online critics that July 3 is not exclusive to Swift and Kelce.
‘The whole f***ing world doesn’t revolve around Taylor Swift’s dumb wedding. Gwen is allowed to celebrate her anniversary,’ one defender tweeted out.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Stefani’s representatives for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Much of Stefani’s comment sections were filled with congratulations for her and Shelton as they marveled at the couple’s longevity.
Her social media tribute also included photos of the couple’s wedding invitations, a candid shot of the singer walking down the aisle as well as a close up of the rings they exchanged at the time.
Shortly before Stefani’s post, Shelton shared a gushing tribute of his own to Instagram to mark their five years as a married couple.
The 50-year-old didn’t hold back as he praised Stefani in a sweet message alongside a carousel of photos from their July 2021 nuptials.
‘5 years and every day is better than the last…,’ he began, adding with emphasis: ‘I love you @gwenstefani SHELTON!!!! Happy anniversary my pretty girl!!!!’
Included was a glamorous close-up of Stefani staring at the camera from behind an intricate veil embossed with silken white flowers.

Shelton also shared a black-and-white long shot of his sweetheart in all her bridal regalia.
Stefani, 56, was less effusive but no less loving as she wrote in the comments: ‘love u!!’
The couple’s wedding ceremony took place at a private chapel that Shelton built specifically for Stefani on his 1,300-acre ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Shelton’s social media share comes two months after he hailed Stefani’s Las Vegas residency as ‘un-freakin-real.’
She had reunited with her No Doubt bandmates for a limited, 18-night run at Sphere.
‘So proud of my wife @gwenstefani and the @nodoubt guys for working their a**** off and putting on this hell of a show.. finally got a night off to see it.. un-freakin-real. (sic),’ Shelton wrote on Instagram.
Included was a video of Stefani performing on stage while the Ol’ Red singer – who was previously married to Miranda Lambert – watched from the crowd.
The post also featured a clip of Shelton receiving a No Doubt jacket after the show and hugging Stefani.
