Guy Fieri has announced his new Food Network series just two months after suffering a major injury on set.
The 58-year-old star – who recently looked unrecognizable as he unveiled a shock transformation to his fans – initially made his debut on the network in 2006.
He went on to launch shows such as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and is additionally the host of Guy’s Grocery Games.
Food Network revealed on Thursday that Fieri will take part in an upcoming competition show titled Flavortown Food Fight set to premiere of March 4.
Production was put on pause when the TV personality fell on set of the new series late last year – resulting in him needing surgery after he tore his quad muscle.
Three chefs will have a chance to appear in each episode to showcase their own cooking skills in a multitude of eateries such as fine dining restaurants and street food carts.

Chefs that star in an episode will battle for the ultimate prize of up to $20,000 and the winner will return the next week to compete with two more new chefs.
The competitors will go through three rounds which include skills and cooking challenges to earn a ‘paycheck’ – but only one chef will be able to take home the winning prize.
Fieri will reveal the theme at the beginning of each episode and his eldest son Hunter, 29, is set to make an appearance to present chefs with a menu for cooking challenges.
Two guest judges will visit to offer their critique on the dishes created by the chefs and help determine who can movie on in the competition.
‘For the first time in television history, we’re opening the gates of Flavortown and inviting some of America’s most talented chefs to showcase their skills in a never-ending list of off-the-hook restaurants that you’ll only find here,’ Fieri expressed in a statement, per People.
He added, ‘We’ve been building out this universe for years and I’m stoked to finally invite everybody in!’
A press release further stated, ‘Long referred to but never before seen, the mythical and delicious Flavortown will be the setting for this multi-round, culinary competition.’
Flavortown is a catchphrase that first originated from Fieri during an episode of his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The star began to pursue his passion in the culinary industry when he began opening restaurants in the 90s.
He went on to win the second season of The Next Food Network Star in 2006, which allowed him to launch the show Guy’s Big Bite later that same year.
Fieri then launched the chef competition series Guy’s Grocery Games in 2013 and is currently still on the air with new seasons.
He has appeared in other Food Network projects over the years such as Ace Of Cakes, Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-off and Tournament Of Champions.
The media personality’s new show announcement comes after it was revealed late last year in November that he was rushed to the hospital following an accident while working on set of Flavortown Food Fight.
The star needed surgery after her tore his quad muscle due to him missing a set of stairs.
‘[I] slipped down a set of steps and one foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold,’ he told Fox News Digital. ‘So, you know, it extended me out.
‘I looked like I was probably doing the splits, but when my right leg compressed into itself the giveaway point and the doctor said he’s never seen – you know, in 20 years – he hasn’t seen a tear in the biggest, thickest part of your quad in half.’

Fieri added that the injury ‘sucked’ while also revealing his need for a wheelchair for around eight weeks.
And earlier this month, the TV personality offered a health update during an interview with People.
‘I’m doing better,’ he expressed and went on to admit that the freak accident had been ‘the worst thing I’ve been through in the last 20 years.’
‘It was definitely a trying holiday, but you know what, you get some real appreciation for having the ability to just get up and walk around and do everything you used to.’
Fieri explained that he liked to stay active but has been unable to do so during the recovery period.
‘I’m a big CrossFit and hiking guy, so eight weeks of no hiking has driven me kind of crazy. But I’m looking forward to it, trying to take it easy.’
And in celebration of his 58th birthday last week, Fieri jumped to his main Instagram page – but surprised fans with a clip that unveiled a shocking makeover.

The video was AI-generated but showed the Food Network star ditching his usual bleached spiky hair for combed, darker hair.
He also opted for a button up shirt as well as khaki trousers – the complete opposite of his laid back style.
But Fieri soon teased that the transformation is also part of an upcoming campaign for Superbowl LX.
He referenced to his alter ego as ‘Just A Guy’ and fans will have a chance to see more of him in a forthcoming Bosch commercial set to air during the Superbowl next month on February 8.
