Glenn Yong claimed he had an uncomfortable experience at Changi Airport yesterday (Sept 29) while undergoing a security check.
The local actor-singer, who turns 30 next month, shared his experience in multiple Instagram Stories.
He wrote in his first Story: “Oh c’mon, seriously? Was boarding my flight in Singapore today and going through the usual security checks, and the guy frisking me was unusually touchy.
“He literally brushed against my balls twice. Like, what the heck? Is this even allowed?”
While Glenn did not share further information on where he was heading to and the purpose of his trip, he later posted a video of him taking public transport in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
He posted a second Story a few hours later, where he also tagged Changi Airport’s Instagram account.
He shared: “I’m still super pissed. How could something like this be happening, especially in Singapore’s Changi Airport.
“My team is reporting the situation now, but seriously, y’all need to make sure your officers are properly trained and actually following the correct frisking procedures.
“I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that experienced security officers frisking inappropriately around the private areas. Something needs to be done about this to make sure people feel safe, please.”
Glenn also posted another Story later with a selfie and wrote: “Anyways, not gonna let this affect my life, looking forward to all the good things happening ahead!”
In response to AsiaOne’s queries, Changi Airport said they are aware of Glenn’s Instagram Stories and are looking into the matter.
