Popular television actor Gaurav Khanna left an indelible impact on the viewers with his performance as a contestant in the recently concluded Bigg Boss 19. Such was his influence on his fans, that he emerged as the winner and took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. He was also honoured with Bigg Boss trophy. Farrhana Bhatt, who gave him tough competition, emerged as the first runner-up. While Gaurav Khanna’s win had left his fans extremely elated, most of the viewers aren’t pleased with his win. They have been busy calling it ‘fixed win’, and even questioned his strategy as a player.
Was Gaurav Khanna ‘fixed winner’ on Bigg Boss 19?
Gaurav Khanna has finally shared his perspective on reports suggesting that his win is ‘fake’. For the unversed, many have been calling him ‘fixed winner’ and ‘back foot’ player. Gaurav was quick to dismiss all allegations. In an interview to India Today, he said, “First of all, these are their allegations; we shouldn’t even cater to them. Today, in the age of social media, everybody is a keyboard warrior. I don’t think I need to answer them. If they don’t like me, fair enough. I am not God’s gift to mankind that every person needs to like me. But I am happy that most people like me.”
Gaurav Khanna also maintained that he is unfazed by the negative reports that have been made on him. Gaurav stated that he had played his game in an honest way, and stressed on the fact that his calm and composed demeanour isn’t a put on, but his real nature. While talking about the “fake” tag, Gaurav also stated that he never tried to manipulate people or play games. “If I were a fake, I would have woken up in the morning and dressed up in designer outfits, and put on makeup. I would have had a plan and played accordingly. I would have broken plates worn saris jewellery. I didn’t do anything like that. I worked out in my slippers. I ate rice with my hands, and even kneaded dough,” he added.
