Former Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher is sharing an emotional update after welcoming her first child following an unexpected medical emergency.

The TV personality, 35, star took to Instagram over the weekend to reassure fans that she, her husband Jordan Rodgers, and their newborn daughter are all doing well after she underwent an emergency C-section earlier this week.

‘She’s delicious. I’m so obsessed with her, I can’t handle it,’ Fletcher wrote alongside a mirror selfie shared to her Instagram Story, cradling baby Romy Blair in her arms.

Despite admitting she was still ‘in the newborn trenches,’ the reality star wanted to thank fans for the outpouring of love and support.

‘Mom & Dad and baby girl all doing good,’ she continued, noting that she is ‘recovering well’ and praising Rodgers as already being ‘dad goals.’

The couple jointly announced their daughter’s arrival on Christmas Day, revealing that what was meant to be a routine prenatal appointment quickly turned into a whirlwind experience.

‘Merry Christmas to us,’ they captioned hospital photos posted to Instagram. ‘Went in for our weekly sonogram this past Tuesday and found out we needed to deliver via emergency C-section that day. At 5:37pm on December 23 – we met our girl.’

They concluded the heartfelt message by introducing their daughter to the world: ‘Romy Blair Rodgers, you are our whole world. Can’t wait to share more but in the meantime soaking up these moments as a new family of three.’

Fletcher later expanded on the experience in a longer message to followers, reflecting on the intensity of new parenthood and the emotional highs that come with it.

‘It’s crazy what they say – that you can literally be in full sleep deprivation mode but the second you look at her you forget it all because the only thing you can think about is just how much you love this little angel,’ she wrote.

The couple, who met during season 12 of The Bachelorette in 2016 and tied the knot in 2022.

She previously opened up about their fertility struggles earlier this year.

In August, Fletcher revealed that their pregnancy came after a long and emotional journey to conceive.

‘Fertility is such a sensitive topic to anybody going through it,’ she told Us Weekly over the summer. ‘Jordan and I have been on our own fertility journey – and man, it’s been a journey.’

At the time, she shared her optimism about becoming a mother, adding, ‘When the time comes and we have a little Baby Rodgers, it’ll be a very, very exciting moment.’

The pregnancy announcement, which described Romy as their ‘rainbow baby’ – a term used for a child born after a miscarriage – was met with an outpouring of support from Bachelor Nation.

Among those sending congratulations was Ben Higgins, who wrote, ‘So special and so happy for you two and this baby.’

Rodgers’ brother Luke also chimed in enthusiastically, declaring himself ready for his new role as an uncle.
