After finalising her divorce following the messy breakdown of her marriage, you could forgive Nicole Kidman for wanting a bit of space.
And it seems the actress has found her much-needed tranquillity in the desolate landscape of Antarctica, as she was pictured on the deck of a luxury cruise ship yesterday.
Ms Kidman, 58, was joined by her sister Antonia, 55, as she was seen admiring a glacier in a series of images posted to Instagram.
The Australian star kept warm in a white puffer jacket and a peaked black wool hat, accessorising with a pair of sporty sunglasses.
Later Ms Kidman and her sister donned matching red windbreakers and life jackets as they admired the wildlife, which included a family of chinstrap penguins.
The Australian star was married to country singer Keith Urban for 19 years but filed for divorce in September after three years of living ‘separate lives’.
Her luxury cruise was provided by adventure holiday firm Silversea, which offers a number of voyages worldwide. Its Antarctica cruises can cost tens of thousands of pounds.
Ms Kidman captioned her post: ‘Thank you for taking me to my seventh continent! Once in a lifetime adventure with family and friends.’

The actress – who last year received a best actress nomination at the Golden Globes for her performance in Babygirl – finalised her divorce from Urban, 58, earlier this month.
Court documents obtained by the Daily Mail revealed the former couple have agreed to waive rights to child and spousal support, with both paying their own legal fees and expenses.
The pair are parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and 14-year-old Faith Margaret.
Under the parenting plan, Ms Kidman will spend 306 days a year with the children while Urban will get the remaining 59 days.
