Move over Martha Stewart?
Chef Gordon Ramsay has partnered with Dr. Dre and Stewart’s bestie, Snoop Dogg, on a new HexClad cocktail shaker developed with the rappers’ Still G.I.N. liquor brand.
Ramsay started the year collaborating with Pete Davidson on a HexClad Super Bowl ad.
He’s ending it by teaming up with the rap legends and longtime collaborators on a commercial for the booze, just in time for the holidays.
In the ad, Ramsay raps along to “Gin and Juice,” the hit Dre produced for Snoop’s 1993 debut album, “Doggystyle.”
“Sippin’ on gin and juice. Laid back,” Ramsay raps in his British accent. “I got my mind on money. Money on my mind,” he added, prompting Dre to encourage him to “stick to cooking.”
We’re told the fun actually started behind-the-scenes. Ramsay memorized the lyrics to the track, “and rapped the entire song for [Dre] during the shoot. Everyone was cracking up, especially Dr. Dre,” a source said of the British chef’s rapping skills.
Insiders revealed Dre and Ramsay met at a private Holmby Hills estate the night before the shoot, and bonded over swimming?
“It was their first time meeting in person and Ramsay brought Dre smart goggles to track his laps,” a source told Page Six.
In exchange, Dre gifted Ramsay’s daughter a signed copy of his debut album “The Chronic.”
(Coincidentally, Ramsay opened his first restaurant within a year of the album’s release).
Snoop is heard, but not seen in their new promo. The “Doggystyle” rapper shared his vocal talent by recording the voiceover for the commercial.
