Dennis Quaid is trying to terminate his $13,750 monthly child support payments to ex-wife Kimberly Buffington for their 18-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe.

The “Parent Trap” actor filed a petition at Los Angeles’ Stanley Mosk Courthouse on Wednesday, Page Six can confirm.

In his request, the actor, 72, cited the terms of his and Buffington’s 2018 divorce agreement, which stated the payments would end when their children finished 12th grade, according to court documents obtained by People.

Zoe graduated from high school on May 23, while Thomas is graduating on June 3, per the outlet.

Quaid’s filing reportedly noted that the divorce agreement also requires he pay Buffington, 54, an additional sum each year if he makes more than $1.3 million.

The Golden Globe nominee requested any bonus amount be prorated to the date of Zoe and Thomas’ graduations instead of his full-year income.

Page Six has reached out to Quaid’s rep for comment.

The “Parent Trap” star and Buffington were married for 14 years, during which they filed for divorce multiple times before splitting for good in 2016.

When they finalized their divorce in 2018, the exes agreed to joint legal and physical custody of Thomas and Zoe, who were born via surrogate in November 2007.

In 2020, Quaid filed court documents asking the judge to lower his child support payments, arguing that he spent half the time with the then-preteens and paid all their expenses.

Quaid ultimately agreed to pay even more as long as it was “based on the reasonable needs of Thomas and Zoe.”

Buffington is Quaid’s third wife. He was previously married to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983 and Meg Ryan from 1991 to 2001.

Quaid and Ryan, 64, share one son, “The Boys” actor Jack Quaid, who recently tied the knot with co-star Claudia Doumit in Australia. Both of Jack’s parents were at the wedding.

Quaid married his fourth wife, Laura Savoie, 33, in 2020.

Last year, Quaid told Fox News Digital his life with Savoie is like “paradise” despite their 39-year age gap.

“It’s the closest relationship I’ve ever had with anybody,” the “Substance” actor said. “I don’t know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I’m] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers.”
