Bunnie Xo claims Jelly Roll is “taking care of” her financially amid their divorce.
“I joke around with him, like, ‘Well, you didn’t take care of me in the marriage, but you’re taking care of me in the divorce!’” Bunnie told her “Dumb Blonde Podcast” listeners on Thursday — exactly one month after Jelly filed for divorce on May 18.
“We stan a f–king king,” she added with a giggle, reiterating numerous times that he’s still her “best friend.”
“My husband and I are ending this marriage on the best possible terms that you could ever have a divorce,” the 46-year-old insisted. “We’re literally settling our divorce in, like, what? We’ve done it in three weeks? Two weeks?”
According to Bunnie, she and Jelly — who wed in August 2016 — have already divided their shared assets, including the “dream house” they had been building together in Tennessee.
She referred to the musician, 41, as “so f–king sweet,” revealing he’s “giving [her] that compound in the divorce because he knows how special it is to [her].”
Bunnie also shared that her friends Meme Shahan and Hailee Clark — who both joined her for the episode — would be moving into their own houses on the compound and that she would be taking all of her Jelly’s animals, too.
As for what led to the split, Bunnie — an escort-turned-OnlyFans creator who retired from sex work in March 2023 — claimed she and Jelly “have never really been good at having disagreements” and had a final argument on Mother’s Day (May 10).
During that spat, which she did not detail, Bunnie — real name Alisa DeFord — said she encouraged Jelly — real name Jason DeFord — to “file the f–king divorce papers.”
She also acknowledged that their grueling IVF journey had “wrecked” them both physically and emotionally, as the hormonally charged process “turned him into a freaking nightmare to be around” and left her “a shell of the person [she] was.”
Despite their breakup, Bunnie divulged that she and Jelly — whom she described as “the most unconventional couple” — are “still having a baby together” and plan to co-parent amicably.
(Jelly already has two children — daughter Bailee Ann, 18, and son Noah Buddy, 9 — from previous relationships.)
According to Bunnie, “nobody cheated on the other person,” which did happen early into their marriage.
“It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other,” she told her listeners, going on to reveal that the Grammy winner “has even started dating.”
Jelly, for his part, addressed the divorce mid-concert Thursday night while on the Saratoga Springs, New York, stop of his Little ASS Shed Tour.
He echoed his estranged wife’s sentiments, telling the crowd “nobody cheated on nobody” and that they were “best friends” for life.
Jelly made sure to plug Bunnie’s podcast episode and insisted that “every word of it is the truth,” concluding, “Bunnie, I love you, baby.”
