Blake Lively is the proudest mom on the Met steps.
The “Gossip Girl” alum arrived on the Met Gala 2026 red carpet Monday wearing a 2006 Versace gown in pastel watercolor tones, accessorizing with a bedazzled Judith Leiber handbag customized with her four kids’ artwork.
The minaudière honored this year’s “Costume Art” theme with sparkly renderings of homemade masterpieces by Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds’ four children.
On the carpet, Lively told Vogue she went back and forth with the Judith Leiber team on which iconic artwork to honor on the bag, before coming up with the idea of looking closer to home.
The actress shares daughters James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6, as well as son Olin, 3, with Reynolds.
Beyond the glitzy purse, she added an array of major bling by Lorraine Schwartz, among them a pair of custom pink sapphire, kunzite and diamond drop earrings, a 30-carat yellow diamond ring and a 10 carat pink sapphire ring.

Of her gown, she gushed to Vogue that it looked like “like a sunrise and a sunset and watercolor.”
It’s a special night for the star as she and Justin Baldoni came to an earlier in the afternoon, settling their “It Ends With Us” legal battle two weeks before it was set for trial.
Lively is famous for going all out with her looks for the first Monday in May; she and husband Ryan Reynolds were even tapped as co-chairs in 2022.
The “Age of Adeline” actress attended the “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”-themed gala wearing a Statue of Liberty-inspired Atelier Versace gown that “oxidized” from copper to green as she ascended the stairs — just like the New York landmark.
And for the “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination”-themed event in 2018, she shut down the red carpet in an intricately embellished look with a cascading train from the same fashion house, complete with a regal halo-style headpiece.
Other haute Met Gala highlights of Lively’s include the gilded and blue-feathered Versace number she wore in 2017, the Old Hollywood-inspired Gucci Première gown she picked in 2014 and the Grecian-style Chanel Haute Couture creation she chose in 2011.
A longtime favorite of Vogue boss Anna Wintour’s, Lively made her Met Gala debut in 2008, dressed in a black strapless Ralph Lauren mermaid gown with a feathered skirt.
The actress has kept a lower profile in recent years amid her lengthy legal battle with Justin Baldoni, her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star, making far fewer red carpet appearances than usual.
In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliation during the film’s production. The duo’s court date is set for May 18.
