Billionaire John Paulson and his fiancée, Alina de Almeida, have plenty to celebrate.
A source tells Page Six that the couple are expecting their second child together while also planning a lavish wedding abroad.
De Almeida welcomed the pair’s first child, daughter Jacqueline, in February 2025.
We hear the pair are planning to tie the knot in June next year with a destination wedding in glamorous Monaco with events spanning three days of festivities.
A source tells us that saves the dates have not gone out yet, but the couple have a network of high-profile pals that should lend itself to a bold-faced guestlist.
We hear Paulson, 70, is pals with Prince Albert of Monaco, which may have something to do with why they chose the location. He is on the board of Trustees for the Princess Grace Foundation, which supports the arts.
We hear the wedding ceremony will take place at the luxurious Villa La Vigie on the cape of the Monte-Carlo Beach.
The spot, which has rooms running around $22,000 a night, offers an Olympic size pool, private beach, several restaurants and a spa.
Picasso used the villa’s garage as a studio and it has been visited over the years by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Winston Churchill, Jean Cocteau, Aristotle Onassis and more. Late designer Karl Lagerfeld rented the villa as his summer home.
A source tells us that the reception will be at the five star Hotel de Paris. It features the 3-Michelin-starred Le Louis XV Alain Ducasse and has a terrace, gardens and several banquet halls.
De Almeida, 37, told us, “We’re excited about our wedding in Monaco and to be welcoming our second child. My life is like a dream come true.”
Paulson tells us, “We chose Monaco because it’s ultra-sophisticated and elegant. It’s the creme de la creme of Europe. All our friends are going to love going there.”
De Almeida is from Montclair, NJ and completed her residency and clinical nutrition rotations at Columbia and Cornell NY Presbyterian Hospital, according to her nutrition consulting website, effective-lifestyle.com. She also has experience as a weight-loss coach in hospitals and private practice.
The Wall Street titan — who famously made $20 billion betting against the housing market before the 2008 crash — and de Almeida got engaged in April 2024 after three years of dating.
De Almedia told us previously how much she wanted a family and said, “I know John will make a great father.”
“John is just a wonderful partner,” de Almeida told us in 2025. “He brings out the best in me. He pushed me to the next level with my career. He is very supportive, very patient and caring.”
Paulson, who’s worth at least $4.7 billion, separated from his ex Jenny in 2021. They finalized their divorce in May in a private settlement after a bitter court battle. They have three children together.
