Beloved QVC host Rick Domeier is set to retire at the end of 2026 after more than 30 years on the air.
The 65-year-old TV personality, who first joined the shopping network in October 1994, announced the news during his Rick St. Nick program which aired on Thursday as part of Christmas in July.
Domeier first became a part of the QVC family as a host trainee and by April 1995, he was a permanent program host.
He explained that he is looking forward to the ‘retirement road’ and is ‘excited about this next chapter’ during a recent interview with Us Weekly.
‘I heard it’s fun, and I’m going to be retiring at the end of this year, end of December,’ Domeier confirmed to the outlet.
Following conversations with his wife Amy, the pair concluded that ‘now’s the perfect time’ for this next step in his life.

Due to his retirement taking place at the end of 2026, Domeier shared that he will have plenty of time to send gratitude to those he has worked with over the years.
He also wants to ‘thank the most important person at QVC, which is the QVC customer, for having been with me and accepted me for what will be 32 years.’
The TV host additionally gave insight into his future plans when it comes to his retirement.
Domeier shared that he will spend more time with his wife as the couple have ‘a lot of travel ideas’ and will attend his son’s wedding next year.
‘I’m really into fitness and longevity for obvious reasons. I want to keep that going, so it’s all about exploring and learning and then sharing.’
He added, ‘I kind of want to document how this goes. I want to find out what retirement is all about.’
Regarding his final moments on the air, Domeier expressed that there could be special shows to help him say goodbye to the audience.
‘I want that to happen. I want it to be in person. I want it to be celebratory. I am excited about this next chapter. I want it to be more fun than sad.’

Domeier, who is dad to two sons, will have the chance to take part in a new program called Rick Hits The Road.
The media personality will broadcast from other cities, with the first stop being New Orleans next week.
‘It’s going to be with Jimmy Stovall and Ali Carr and the crew, and we’re going to meet the QVC customer. More stops to come.’

Domeier often documents his QVC work life onto his Instagram page while also connecting with fans.
His current title at the shopping network is Senior Program Host, according to his Instagram profile.
The TV host also describes himself as a ‘devoted Dad, Empty Nesting hubby, aging fitness buff, Wine lover, B Movie Actor, Legend in his own mind.’

The star has made appearances in shows including St. Elsewhere, The Bold And The Beautiful, The Young And The Restless and Days Of Our Lives.
Domeier also took on minor roles in films such as Teen Wolf (1985), Die Hard 2 (1990) and Girl, Interrupted (1999).
