The pride of Puerto Rico is on top of the world. Well, at least when it comes to the Billboard charts and fashion glossies.
Bad Bunny — the globally famous singer, actor and style star — covers Vogue’s Best Dressed 2025 digital issue wearing a pristinely tailored tan Valentino suit with retro-inspired aviators and a playful vintage cap sourced from eBay.
In the accompanying spread, photographed by Coco Capitán and styled by Harry Lambert, Bad Bunny (whose birth name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) has never looked better — which, given that he’s already been crowned one of the year’s best-dressed celebs, is really saying something.
But according to his close friend and creative director, Janthony Oliveras, style wasn’t always Bunny’s strong suit.
“When we first started he was kind of low-key—a pair of jeans and a good pair of sneakers,” Janthony told Vogue. “We had a low budget, but he had a pair of red Reeboks that were kind of chunky … and he would always wear a little bandanna tied around his head, kinda like Tupac.”
These days, the singer collaborates closely with longtime stylists Storm Pablo and Marvin Douglas Linares on nearly every public appearance.
The main goal? Keeping it real.
“He always knows what he wants to do,” Storm shared with the magazine. “His biggest thing — and we feel the same way — is not looking like a mannequin.”
And while his modelesque good looks and physique are fitting of the comparison, his personal style continues to be anything but ordinary.
From his 31-performance “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí” residency at San Juan’s Coliseo to the custom Jacquemus and Prada looks he has worn on Met Gala red carpets, Bad Bunny embraces every opportunity to dress up.
“That’s something that I learned from Jan — that if I buy something, I need to wear it right now. You can’t save things for a special occasion,” he shared.
Janthony agreed. “We’re living a special life,” he says, “so let’s dress up whenever we can.”
We can’t wait to see what this multihyphenate superstar pulls out of his magic hat for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest performances of his lifetime: the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, one of the biggest stages in the world. Notably, this will be the first to be performed almost entirely in Spanish.
Although he declined to divulge anything about that upcoming performance in his interview, Bad Bunny was eager to crown his own winner for the title of 2025’s best-dressed person.
“I’ll pick someone who never failed during all 31 of my residency shows, and they did it without a stylist: Mami,” he said.
He might be a three-time Grammy winner, Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2025 and Vogue’s best-dressed star, but it’s nice to know that Bad Bunny is also still a mama’s boy at heart.
