Abhishek Bachchan recently reacted to divorce rumours with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Here is what he said.
Since last year, there have been divorce rumours of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But the speculations were shut down time and again as they spotted together at various B-Town events and public gatherings. Amid the rumours, both actors maintained a dignified silence on the divorce rumours over a period of time. Now, recently, Abhishek Bachchan reacted to the speculations around his marriage and rubbished the reports of their divorce. He further called the rumours ‘malicious and incorrect’. Abhishek went on to say that they are a happy and healthy family. He mentioned that there was always rumours about their personal lives since they were dating.
Abhishek Bachchan reacts to divorce rumours
In an interview with Peeping Moon, Abhishek Bachchan said, “If you are a celebrity, people are going to conject about everything. Any rubbish they (media) have written is completely false. Not based on any fact whatsoever, malicious and incorrect.”
He continued, “They have been doing this before we got married. First, they were deciding when we are getting married, then once we got married, then they are going to decide when we will get divorced. This is all rubbish. She knows my truth, I know her truth. We go back to a happy and healthy family, which is most important, and that’s all that matters.”
The actor was asked if the rumours affected him, Abhishek then replied, “No, because if there was any truth to it, it would, but it doesn’t. I will not tolerate any falsehood, manufactured rubbish about me or my family.”
This year, Abhishek Bachchan received the Filmfare Best Male Actor for his performance in I Want To Talk. In his winning speech, he also thanked Aishwarya.
Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming movies
The actor has been working on two movies- King, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The film also features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, among others.
He will also be seen in Raja Shivaji, which stars Riteish Deshmukh in the lead. The makers are yet to disclose more details about Abhishek’s character.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last movie
The actress was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2, which was released in theatres in 2023. The movie also featured Sara Arjun, Shreema Upadhyaya, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan and Vikram in key roles. The Tamil movie was directed by Mani Ratnam. It has a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
