Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities are reading — whether it’s a timeless classic or the buzzy bestseller they can’t put down? Welcome to Page-Turners, where stars reveal the books that keep them hooked, inspired and up all night. Warning: your TBR pile is about to get a lot longer.

When she’s not writing her own novels, author Emma Straub can be found curled up with a good work of fiction.

She told Page Six that within the fiction genre she prefers books “by women who can make me laugh and cry!”

Straub’s new book “American Fantasy,” which is on sale now, follows a 50-year-old divorceé who sets sail on a four-day cruise with 3,000 other women to see all five members of a famous ’90s boy band reunite.

See below for Straub’s six must-read book recommendations, great to add to any TBR, along with her new book.

“A hilarious story of novelist Whitehead entering the World Series of Poker. I’ve read it three times–bleak and smart and hysterically funny.”

“A must-read if you’re writing about a cruise! This is another funny one, and short to boot. It doesn’t make cruises sound like much fun, but then again … maybe it does?”

“A perfect book for readers of Page Six! Gossip, romance, matchmaking, canoodling!”

“Ephron is maybe best known for her films and essays, but this novel, based on her own divorce, is my favorite.”

“One of my recent favorites, and the first novel by one of my all-time favorite short story writers. Weird, wonderful, and expansive.”

“My favorite short stories of all time. This book taught me that the best voice is always your own.”
