Rupali Ganguly‘s Anupamaa is once again the top TV show, with its TRP ratings soaring, courtesy gripping storyline. In the latest episodes, we’re seeing the preparations for Prem and Rahi’s wedding take center stage. Prem’s family is quite traditional, and Moti Baa, in particular, doesn’t approve of anything that goes against their customs. She believes women should stay at home, to follow their husbands and not work. Moti Baa and Parag agreed to the wedding, thinking that Rahi might be the one to bring Prem back into the fold. However, Moti Baa has a condition – she wants Rahi to give up all her dreams and be a housewife.
However, Anu does not want her daughter to have a life like her where she wasted all her talent because of Vanraj and Leela. However, Moti Baa shows that she will allow Rahi everything after marriage and hence, everyone agrees for the wedding. As the preparations begin, Anu constantly worries about Rahi’s future but she trusts Prem who will not let Rahi fall.
During the wedding preparations, we see Moti Baa’s orthodox thinking constantly leaves Rahi and Prem irritated. Moti Baa and Parag constantly try to find different ways to humiliate Anu and Rahi. On the other hand, Mahi’s obsession for Prem does not end. She still hopes the wedding will stop and she will marry Prem. Mahi keeps trying to create issues during the wedding.
More problems for Prem and Rahi?
Amid all these issues, more hurdles come in for Rahi and Prem. Rahi’s biologically father, Sampath enters. He creates a scene during the haldi ceremony. He questions Anuj and Maya’s relationship humiliating Anu. He accuses Anu and Anuj of taking away Rahi.
However, Anu slaps him and makes it clear that Rahi is hers and Anuj’s daughter. In the upcoming episodes of Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, we will see that Moti Baa will announce that the wedding is cancelled after Sampath’s revelations. Prem will get irritated with his family and cut his finger to fill Rahi’s hairline with blood.
However, Anu will stop him for marrying Rahi this way as she wants the family to bless them. Soon, Prem will remove his frustration on the Kothari family. We will also see that Moti Baa will make more plans to trap Rahi’s career. She will advice Parag to get her involved in the family business so that she stays home and keeps Prem close to the family. This scene of the show became a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
