Aamir Khan, who had turned 60 last week, was seen spending quality time with his daughter, Ira Khan, on Monday evening. According to Ira’s Instagram, she wasn’t in Mumbai to celebrate her father’s birthday. Following a heartfelt reunion which was captured in videos and photos, both Aamir and Ira headed home separately. However, a video soon went viral that showed Ira in tears.

As evident from the viral video, Ira shared a warm hug with her father Aamir before leaving for home. Ira clearly struggled to hold back her tears as she left in her car. Even as the paparazzi continued chasing her car, Ira’s emotional breakdown couldn’t be hidden.

Within minutes, Ira Khan’s deeply emotional moment went viral on social media. Despite the emotional reunion, the video of her tears left her fans worried who were quick to express their support and sympathy. One comment read, “Let her cry in peace”, next user wrote, “Ur camera bro stop chasing them”. Another fan penned, “Let the girl be. She is struggling dealing with whatever is bothering her without having to contend with having to do so in the spotlight – BE KIND”. Another netizen demanded privacy, her comment read, “Why can’t they some privacy? Just because they’re celebs? Don’t forget they’re humans too”

Ahead of his 60th birthday celebration, Aamir had introduced his new girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, during a meet and greet session with the media. During a press conference, the actor had revealed that he has known Gauri her for 25 years. “I was looking for someone I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was. Gauri, a mother to a six-year-old child, shared, “I wanted someone who was kind, a gentleman, and just caring.” Aamir added, “And after all that, you found me?”

For the unversed, Ira is Aamir’s daughter from his first marriage with Reena Dutta. Junaid, Ira’s older brother, made his debut with Maharaj on Netflix. His film, Loveyapa, had hit the theatres in February 2025.
