Diane Lane is joining Hulu’s upcoming limited series Victoria.
Lane joins as Lee Calloway a “savvy venture capitalist accustomed to getting what she wants and has worked too hard to let anyone stand between her and the win,” the streamer and Onyx Collective announced Wednesday. She joins Li June Li, seen on screens recently in Spider Noir and Sinner, who’s playing Maxine Tao, described as a sophisticated yet cunning woman who finds herself in the high-stakes world of venture capital.
The logline for the series reads, “Set in the cutthroat world of San Francisco’s elite, Victoria is an erotic thriller about a brilliant con artist who finds herself in a dark web of power, luxury and the crosshairs of a seductive killer who knows her secrets.”
It Ends With Us screenwriter Christy Hall created the series and serves as the show’s showrunner, executive producer and writer. Geeta Vasant Patel will direct the pilot and executive produce. Disney’s Onyx Collective and Counterpart Studios serve as the studio. Lilly Burns, Elise Henderson and Tony Hernandez executive produce for Counterpart. Li is set to co-produce.
Hulu announced that they had greenlit the series earlier this month, sharing at that time that Li was set to star in the project.
