Jessel Taank thinks Erin Lichy is jealous of her success.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” star spoke exclusively to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” about her ongoing feud with Lichy.
“The difference between Erin and [me] is I celebrate my friends and I truly do think that I’m a girl’s girl,” Taank, 46, told us. “If my friends are thriving, I’m not gonna call them thirsty; I’m gonna be like, ‘Wow, she’s killing it.’”
“Erin, I think, on the other hand, has this tendency to be like, ‘She’s thirsty [and] she’s fake if she’s doing well.’”
Taank and Lichy, 39, both joined the next generation of “RHONY” in Season 14.
The two women, along with Sai De Silva, were the only cast members from the reboot asked back for Season 16, which features three new Real Housewives and the return of OG star Carole Radziwill.
In the Season 16 premiere — which aired on Sept. 8 — it’s revealed that Taank and Lichy are back on rocky terms.
This time, it all started when Lichy called Taank “thirsty” and “fake” in what appeared to be a hot-mic moment while filming “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.”
According to Taank, the “most shocking part” of Lichy’s unprovoked tirade was that they “were not” in a bad place at the time it happened.
In fact, the fashion publicist said they had an “amazing” lunch the last time they saw each other before filming “RHUGT,” where they bonded over the recent losses of their fathers.
“I walked away from that lunch feeling really good about where we were,” Taank said. “And then, surprise! It’s like, I’m fake, and I’m thirsty. I was like, ‘Wait, where is this coming from?’”
Taank claimed Lichy is “very much so” jealous of the opportunities she’s had, particularly referring to her feature in Rolling Stone magazine.
The mom of two also suggested that Lichy may be resentful of the fact that she was an instant fan favorite.
“I do feel like maybe Erin expected this to go differently for her, maybe,” Taank said. “I think she presents as being supportive, but you sort of see her actions speak otherwise.”
