Austin Nichols gets the ick looking back on “Holiday in the Sun.”
The “One Tree Hill” star admitted in a new interview that he was “too old” to kiss Mary-Kate Olsen in their 2001 movie.
“I was definitely nervous because Mary-Kate was 15, and I was, I think, 18 or 19 or maybe even 20. I don’t remember,” he said in Sunday’s episode of the “Drama Queens” podcast.
“It felt weird, and it felt wrong,” Nichols added.
The “Walking Dead” alum, now 44, acknowledged he “looked very young” at the time because he was “real tall and skinny and nerdy,” so viewers may not have thought twice.
“I don’t think you can tell there’s a big age difference, but from my brain, I was like, ‘She’s 15. This is weird,’” he remembered.
In the direct-to-video release, Olsen and her twin sister, Ashley Olsen, now 38, played rich teenagers who traveled to the Bahamas with their parents for winter break.
Nichols’ character, Griffen Grayson, tried to woo Mary-Kate’s Madison Stewart at Atlantis Paradise Island, while Ashley’s Alex Stewart quickly fell for resort worker Jordan Landers, played by Ben Easter.
“Holiday in the Sun” also starred Megan Fox in her movie debut.
Easter, now 45, was older than the Olsen twins — and Nichols — at the time, too.
“I was a little bit nervous because of my age. My manager was like, ‘I think they told the girls you were 16,’” he recalled to E! News in 2021 before clarifying that he immediately informed Ashley he was almost 22.
“We hit it off right off the bat,” the actor-turned-photographer added. “They could see I was professional and I wasn’t some creep.”
