An untitled new Guy Ritchie series starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, espionage thriller The Agency featuring Michael Fassbender and Richard Gere, The Madison, a new spin-off on Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe with Michelle Pfeiffer, Ella Purnell-starring Sweetpea, and the return of America’s favorite serial killer in prequel series Dexter: Original Sin, as well as Dexter: Resurrection, are just some examples of the high-profile content coming to SkyShowtime in 2025.
The streaming joint venture of Comcast and Paramount Global unveiled its slate for the new year, including new and exclusive series, local originals, and first-run Hollywood films, on Monday.
By the end of 2024, the streamer will have delivered 20 originals across its more than 20 markets, with a further 10 SkyShowtime originals set to hit the platform in 2025. Among them are the Feb. 9-debuting docu-series Schmeichel, chronicling the highs and lows of iconic Danish soccer goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, and the five-part documentary series Recipe for Murder. Coming from renowned doc filmmaker Jose Gomez, it tracks the violent death of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta at the hands of Daniel Sancho, a 29-year-old aspiring chef and son of one of Spain’s best-known actors.
“These must-watch SkyShowtime original series will also be joined by Spanish psychological thriller Shades (Matices), six-part serial killer drama Langer from Poland, and the second season of hit Nordic crime series Veronika, due to premiere later in 2025,” the streamer said. “Suspenseful Polish crime story Śleboda and Spanish comedy Mamen Mayo will also launch across all SkyShowtime markets, on Feb. 20 and Feb. 27, respectively.”
Returning seasons set to premiere exclusively on SkyShowtime in the new year include season 2 of hit series Poker Face, starring Natasha Lyonne, season 3 of Gangs of London, featuring Joe Cole and Sopé Dìrísu, and season 2 of the Yellowstone origin story 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, launching on March 10. “More returning favorites include season 3 of psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama Yellowjackets, premiering Feb. 27, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise,” the streamer said.
For movie lovers, SkyShowtime’s 2025 Hollywood slate included the likes of Star Trek: Section 31, set to debut on Feb. 7, Despicable Me 4 (Feb. 10), and MaXXXine on (Feb. 16), “with Transformers One and Smile 2 slated to join them later in the year, the firm said.
Led by CEO Monty Sarhan, SkyShowtime has been targeting new audiences across Europe through partnerships with TV and other providers. In the second half of 2024, for example, it struck deals with the likes of MasOrange in Spain, Play in Poland, Magyar Telekom in Hungary, as well as Yettel in Bulgaria and Serbia.
It recently also introduced a SkyShowtime Premium tier following the launch earlier this year of an advertising tier.

Sweetpea, Jan. 2.
Starring Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), this “coming-of-rage” story has been adapted from the 2017 C.J. Skuse novel of the same name.
Dexter: Original Sin, launching on Jan. 30.
“Set in 1991 Miami, the Dexter prequel follows Dexter Morgan (Patrick Gibson) as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer.
The Agency, Feb. 10.
Starring two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender alongside Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Richard Gere and executive produced by George Clooney, this 10-part series, based on the hit French drama Le Bureau des Légendes, follows Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London.
Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, Feb. 28.
A five-part limited series starring Academy Award-, BAFTA-, Golden Globe- and SAG Award-winning actor Colin Firth “delves into the 1988 Lockerbie disaster, where 259 passengers and crew were killed when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie 38 minutes after take-off, with a further 11 residents losing their lives as the plane came down over the quiet, Scottish town. In the wake of the disaster and his daughter’s death, Dr. Jim Swire (Firth), is nominated spokesperson for the U.K. victims’ families, and embarks on a relentless journey that not only jeopardizes his stability, family and life, but completely overturns his trust in the justice system.”

“SkyShowtime has also announced a brand new, as yet untitled drama from legendary director Guy Ritchie coming in 2025,” the streamer said. Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, it is “centered around two warring families based in London whose enterprises stretch across all corners of the globe and the fiercely loyal ‘fixer’ charged with protecting one of them at all costs,” according to a synopsis.

“The recently announced next installment in Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan’s expanding Yellowstone universe” starr Golden Globe winner Michelle Pfeiffer in “a heartfelt study of grief and human connection, the series follows a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana,” SkyShowtime said.
Dexter: Resurrection, later in 2025.
The series features the return of Michael C. Hall to the role he made famous.
