X Factor star Matt Richardson is engaged to his long-term girlfriend Sam Rollinson after 10 years together.
The bride-to-be took to Instagram to share a glimpse at the comedian’s romantic proposal during a trip to the Inverlochy Castle Hotel in Scotland.
Showing off her sparkling engagement ring, Sam gushed in the caption: ‘Ten years of love, joy, laughter and adventure, @mattrichardson3 is now my finance.’
The couple toasted their engagement with champagne as the sun set over the beautiful Highland location.
Following the announcement, many of Matt’s celebrity pals offered their congratulations in the comments.
Sam is no stranger to showing support for Matt, and regularly shares sweet messages on social media under posts from his comedy gigs.

Matt is equally as supportive of Sam, and previously shared his disbelief that she is dating him.
He told The Sun: ‘As if I’m subtle about having a girlfriend who is a supermodel. When I’ve had a few drinks in the pub, I go, ”Look, that’s her in that advert!” It’s brilliant.’
Sam has walked the catwalk many times for high fashion brands like Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs.
Matt previously added: ‘For years, when I started doing comedy, I worked in Next for a really, really long time. And then, I kind of went away, kind of did comedy, got on telly, whatever.
‘And then, Sam, a couple of years ago, was the Next girl. She was on the front of the book. And you’d go into Next, and there would be huge pictures of her all around Next.
‘And I was back in my hometown in the Next I worked in and they’re like, ‘Oh my god mate, haven’t seen you for years, how’s life?’
‘And, like an a***hole, I went, ‘Yes it’s alright, I live with her now,’ pointing at the picture.
‘What a d***head, but there we go. But because everyone is so English, they were just like ”Oh yeah… you’re an a***hole.”

In 2021, Matt landed a spot in the Dancing On Ice lineup with professional partner Vicky Ogden after Rufus Hound was forced to pull out
Matt previously the host of The X Factor spin-off The Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack, before she went onto host the main show with Olly Murs in 2015.
He landed a drivetime show on Virgin Radio and also launched a podcast with Busted’s Matt Willis called When No One’s Watching.
In 2021, Matt landed a spot in the Dancing On Ice lineup with professional partner Vicky Ogden after Rufus Hound was forced to pull out.
Unfortunately, he was eliminated after just one week on the show, where he took a nasty tumble during his performance.
At the time, Matt admitted that he was on the brink of quitting showbusiness.
He said: ‘I was looking at a career change or to just leave the industry altogether, because it’s tough times.
‘I am of a level where I’m on TV, but I’m not a big, huge name. It’s not like I’ve got stacks of cash lying around. I am currently skint because I’ve not worked a year.’
