Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump have kept their relationship a secret because Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife doesn’t like the limelight.
The pair are on the verge of going public with their relationship, but Vanessa is “very private and doesn’t like the spotlight,” insiders exclusively tell Page Six.
“Their friends know they are dating,” a source shared, adding, “The two were careful to keep their dating under wraps as they built up their relationship.”
We’re also told Don Jr. is “aware” of Vanessa’s relationship with the golf icon.
“[He] wants Vanessa to be happy,” the source said of Don Jr.
Vanessa was married to Don Jr., 47, from 2005 to 2018 and they share five children: Kai, 17, Donald III, 16, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 10.
The son of President Trump moved on from their marriage with Bettina Anderson and Page Six exclusively reported in January that they are “essentially living together.”
Page Six confirmed that Woods, 49, and Vanessa, 47, were an item Thursday.
Our insider divulged that their relationship is “not too serious” but it’s “heading in that direction.”
“They have a lot in common. They’ve both gotten used to public scrutiny. They both know how to keep their private life private. They’re both parents,” the insider said.
We hear the lovebirds became romantic after initially striking up a friendship.
“They’re a good match; they’re level-headed, they like to avoid drama, they share a lot of the same values,” the source said, adding that Woods previously had a habit of dating women “who just weren’t right for him.”
While our insider said the new couple is “taking it slow,” they added the duo could become “really serious and permanent” in the future.
“She’s not starstruck my him; she’d date him even if he weren’t famous,” another insider said of the socialite. “Fame doesn’t interest her; that’s what he likes best about her … We’ll see where it goes.”
It’s unclear how they were first introduced, but they live 20 minutes away from each other in Florida and Vanessa’s eldest child, Kai, attends the same school as Woods’ kids — Sam, 17, and Charlie, 16 — whom he shares with ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
Woods and Vanessa have been linked since last Thanksgiving, the Daily Mail reported, and they were spotted together at a Florida golf tournament in February.
“She comes to his place on Jupiter Island. They’re not living together,” an insider told the Daily Mail. “She comes over and spends the night and leaves in the morning. Maybe a few nights a week.”
The source added, “They just love hanging out, having dinner and schmoozing together. They’re sticking close to home, have decided not to make it a thing and go out in public. Not just yet anyway.”
Despite keeping their love on the down low, Vanessa hasn’t been hiding her affection for the athlete via social media as she was caught “liking” his posts and following fan accounts for him in recent months.
