Did their friendship contract expire?
Cynthia Bailey revealed she hasn’t spoken to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Kenya Moore since the latter displayed an explicit poster of newbie Brittany Eady in front of Bravo cameras.
“I’ve reached out after the fact. We texted for a little bit,” she told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real, explaining that she stopped hearing from Moore after texting that she was “disappointed in how she handled the situation.”
“My feelings were coming from a place of love and protection for Kenya,” she continued, adding that she reached out again when she heard Moore was fired.
“I tried to call … and I texted and said, ‘Hey, I’m here for you when you’re ready to talk,’” the former model, 58, claimed.
“I love Kenya. Whenever she’s ready to ring this phone, honey, I can’t answer it fast enough. I have to respect her time and her space.”
The “BMF” actress also noted she didn’t know Eady that well and had only filmed with her “maybe twice” by the time things got nasty during the grand opening of Moore’s hair salon.
“But I know Kenya. You know, we have a friendship; we’ve been together for years and years and years,” she shared.
“I just felt like the response was just beneath Kenya,” Bailey added.
Bailey further explained that she knew how hard Moore, 54, worked on her hair salon and thought it was “sad and unfortunate” that her friend’s drama with Eady “overshadowed” its grand opening.
“I just hold her to a certain standard ’cause I do know her and I know she’s a woman of class,” Bailey told us. “Kenya’s amazing, but I just felt like it was just beneath her. I couldn’t support it.”
Page Six has reached out to a rep for Moore for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Last June, Page Six revealed that Moore stunned attendees at her Kenya Moore Hair Spa grand opening when she brought out posters of Eady’s mugshots and an image of her performing oral sex.
Moore’s poster attack was triggered by Eady threatening her with a “pistol” after a verbal altercation at a dinner with the rest of the cast.
Days after the incident, we exclusively reported that the mom of one had been suspended indefinitely.
Moore — who shares 6-year-old daughter Brooklyn with ex-husband Marc Daly — shaded Bravo while addressing the incident on Instagram.
“My life is blessed. Myself and my daughter will continue to thrive in a non toxic environment where we feel appreciated and most importantly, protected. Thank you God for covering us. 🙏🏾,” she wrote.
However, last November, the former Miss USA admitted that she didn’t “have to take it that far” during her feud with Eady.
“Hindsight is always 50/50. If I could do it all over again — I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation,” she said on “The Tamron Hall Show” at the time.
“I’ve elevated situations before, and I’ve taken full accountability for the things that I’ve done,” she continued. “I am sorry for what I’ve done. I didn’t have to take it that far.”
New episodes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
