Prince Harry will rarely be seen in wife Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan” — and that’s perfectly alright by him.
“Whenever Harry visited set, he was always super polite and friendly,” a crew member who worked on the show told People in a new interview. “It was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment to shine.”
Prince Harry was briefly seen hugging his wife in the first teaser trailer that was released earlier this year.
The eight-episode lifestyle series, which sees the Duchess of Sussex, 43, cooking, entertaining and gardening with pals like Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer, evokes her pre-royal life.
According to Markle, Prince Harry, 40, has been a great support system behind-the-scenes of the new TV project, which drops Tuesday on Netflix.
“My husband met me when I had ‘The Tig,’ and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me,” she told People, referencing her former lifestyle blog, which she shut down before marrying into the royal family in 2018.
Markle initially launched “The Tig” — which featured food, wellness and travel content — in 2014 while appearing on the popular TV series “Suits.”
The Duchess of Sussex told People that she never regretted her decision to step away from it in 2017 as she and Prince Harry became more serious.
“I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more,” she explained. “So that was a choice I made at the time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.”
Now, Markle is ready to embrace her true passions once again — with her family’s support.
The former actress told People that she was delighted that Harry was able to bring their children — Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilbet, 3 — to set so they could see their mom hard at work.
“I loved that my children were able to watch me working and see the balance of that and understand what Mama does and is working to create and share,” she gushed.
“It was really special because up until then, they hadn’t seen me at work.”
