Some Off Campus fans are certain that Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli are in a feud after playing love interests.
The pair originally formed a friendship while playing Hannah and Garrett, respectively, whose love story plays out in season 1 of the hit Prime Video show. Bright and Cameli were often paired for interviews during the show’s press run in early 2026 before they confirmed their returns for season 2.
Following the show’s overnight success, however, some viewers started to question the dynamic between Bright and Cameli. In late August 2026, some eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Cameli’s Instagram account was missing several posts on his grid — many of which included Bright.

When Did Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli Form a Friendship?
After being cast as the season 1 leads of Off Campus, Bright and Cameli often spent time together along with the rest of their costars.
“Doing a job like this would be so miserable if you didn’t like your costar,” Cameli told Us in May 2026. “We are so lucky. Ella and I are really, really good friends. We get along so well and we spend a ton of time together on set.”
Bright was just as grateful to have Cameli as her professional partner.
“Honestly, we just have so much fun. It’s so cool to be able to go on this journey with everybody who just cares so much about this show and these characters,” she told Us. “Everyone is here for the same reason. It definitely loosens the pressure a lot, because you’re sharing it with all these really great and talented people.”

After Off Campus was released in May 2026, some viewers expressed discomfort with Bright, who was 18 at the time of filming, being paired off on screen with Cameli, who is 10 years her senior. Bright, however, clarified that she felt supported on set while filming sex scenes for the show.
The actress also weighed in on fans who were hoping she would date Cameli in real life.
“I totally get [why fans want] it, but it is so weird,” Bright said on an episode of the “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele” podcast in July 2026. “Like, no.”
Bright referred to Cameli as “literally my brother.” She also admitted she hadn’t “seen that much” of the fan discourse about their friendship, adding, “I love him so much, but yeah, it’s very funny.”
Bright went on to gush over Cameli’s girlfriend, Raina Morris, adding, “He also has a perfect and beautiful, amazing girlfriend. [She is] my angel on Earth.” (Bright, for her part, has remained more tight-lipped about her personal life.)

Bright and Cameli offered a glimpse at their dynamic in a clip shared by Prime Video at a September 2026 event.
“We just wanted to say that we have been so overwhelmed by the response to the first season,” Cameli said while standing next to Bright. “You guys made it what it is, and we genuinely cannot thank you enough.”
Bright confirmed the show is currently in production, adding, “We’re back filming season 2 right now, and we cannot wait for you to see what’s coming. Trust us, it is going to be worth the wait.”
