Salman Khan and Kabir Khan have worked together in 3 movies: Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight. Fans have been waiting for their collaboration for a long time. In the past, there have been reports that the duo will collaborate for a movie titled Babbar Sher. So is the project really happening? Well, the director has now opened up on the same.
During the India Today Digital interaction, Kabir Khan was asked if he is collaborating with Salman Khan for Babbar Sher. The filmmaker said, “That’s unfounded. As a director, I meet actors, and we chat, and, of course, Salman is someone who has played such a strong role in my career, so I keep chatting with him. I think when I went to meet him once, that conversation happened, and that name Babbar Sher came up. I think it was an exciting name, so people picked it up. But no, there’s actually nothing right now.”
During the same interaction, Kabir Khan was asked about the trend of re-releases. So what are his thoughts on their movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan re-releasing in theatres, which will complete 10 years of its release in 2025? Kabir answered. “That film has really taken a life of its own, and every year it’s sort of becoming bigger and bigger. We should actually do something about it. It’s 10 years, right? I will speak to Salman Khan and tell him let’s do something about it. That’s a great idea.”
Meanwhile, Salman Khan will be next seen in AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj and will hit theatres during Eid this month.
