Zendaya is helping her fiancé Tom Holland stay healthy through her vegetarian diet, according to the Spider-Man actor.

The star, 29, explained how he doesn’t restrict his diet but is placing more importance on eating the right foods ever since meeting her.

Speaking to Men’s Health he said: ‘My girlfriend [now fiancée] is a vegetarian which is really helpful because it means that more often than not I’ll be having a veggie meal but yeah I’m mindful about what I eat.

‘I’m always trying to have a healthy amount of vegetables and when I say healthy I just mean a lot.’

Despite this Zendaya, 29, who made the lifestyle choice when she was age 11, admitted she is not a vegetable lover.

Zendaya previously told US Weekly: ‘I’m a vegetarian who doesn’t like vegetables too much – makes it challenging!’

The model and actress has said she doesn’t like to eat in the mornings, but her favourite breakfast dish is Nutella pancakes.

‘I’ve never been a breakfast person. I love breakfast food, just not at breakfast time. I’ll eat breakfast food, but it must have some Nutella on it: pancakes, berries, and Nutella,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar.

Meanwhile one of her treasured lunches is a crispy brown rice salad with several vegetables such as mushrooms and courgettes. She also likes to add lemon juice, olive oil and vegetable broth.

But she admitted her bustling schedule means she can forget to eat proper meals but will often snack through the day.

‘My go-to is a cup of noodles with hot sauce. I know it’s bad for me. People are like, “Zendaya, it’s high in sodium!” but it’s what I want to eat.’

And when it comes to drinks she is against coffee, energy drinks, and even hates water, instead opting for a classic fruit juice like Tropicana or lemonade.

For dinner Zendaya likes to keep her meals basic and easy to make, dining on bowls of ramen, lentil chili and avocado pasta.

He added: ‘I’m always trying to have a healthy amount of vegetables and when I say healthy I just mean a lot’

Speaking to Vogue, she said: ‘I learned a little pasta dish and I really didn’t have much in my fridge at all and we made pasta with this avocado sauce.

‘It was super easy, minimal ingredients and it was freaking delicious so I highly recommend that recipe.’

While Tom tries to stay healthy he insists he loves cheat meal and he has them so often they can’t even be considered cheating.

‘I’m a sucker for for an In-N-Out Burger I go for a double double with raw onions.’

But he tries to balance with a healthy breakfast of porridge and berries with nuts and a protein shake.

The star said he skips lunch and can often be seen at his chef brothers house for dinner or trying to cook up vegetarian recipes for Zendaya from his cookbook.

‘I try to be strict and healthy, I travel a lot so I find it really difficult to get into a routine of cooking for myself.

‘I wouldn’t call it dieting but eating healthy is a big part of me staying in shape.’

He added: ‘I’m very lucky that my default setting of my body is that if I don’t train and eat I lose weight.

‘I have to really consciously think about maintaining size so for me a cheat meal is actually a really good thing.’
