Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married for 37 years. However, today, several reports stated that the couple is headed for a divorce. Some reports allegedly stated that they have been living separately for a long time now. So far, these are only rumours, and they have not officially announced separation. Amid the rumours, many people are digging up their old interviews. In these interviews, Sunita was her candid self and openly talked about her husband’s stardom, how their married life has been and much more.
In one of the interviews, Sunita Ahuja revealed that she talks to Govinda in an abusive language. About their bond, Sunita told Hautterlfy, “I still don’t feel like we are husband and wife. I still address him as ‘Abbe’ and he also addresses me the same way. That’s how we talk to each other. Gali-galoch” is a part of their verbal exchange I sometimes ask him ‘are you my husband?'”
In another interview, Sunita stated how she shaped herself to be accepted by the actor’s mother. On Time Out with Ankit podcast, the star wife once revealed, “My mother will not like it…I told her it’s okay, let’s wear a saree, will it make any difference? By hook or by crook I had to get her. I was like, okay, I will wear a saree, and it won’t make any difference. I wanted to woo her at any cost.”
Meanwhile, Govinda’s family members—Krushna Abhishek, Arti Singh and Kashmera Shah have expressed shock over the divorce reports. On the other hand, the actor himself was asked about the same. He told ETimes, “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films.”
