Veteran Hong Kong actor Lau Siu Ming died at the age of 94 yesterday (Sept 2). Hong Kong media reported that his demise was confirmed by his actor friend Ding Yue, who said he died at 6pm. Siu Ming, who was affectionately known as Ming Sir, had been in declining health in his later years. He reportedly suffered from seven ailments and was wheelchair-bound, with his 93rd birthday spent in the hospital.
