Vanessa Marcil has come to the defense of Brooklyn Beckham following his sensational accusations against parents David and Victoria Beckham.
The actress, 57, called Brooklyn, 26, ‘brave’ years after her own son Kassius’ estrangement from his father, her ex Brian Austin Green, 52.
‘Brooklyn Beckham is individuating,’ she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Monday, alongside an image of a sunset.
‘It’s developmentally completely normal and healthy. Brave kid [heart emoji].’
Her show of support came after Brooklyn’s extraordinary six-page statement, which he shared to his Instagram Stories on Monday.
The eldest son of the soccer superstar, 50, and the Spice Girl, 51, said he has no wish to reconcile with his family, and made bombshell allegations about his 2022 Florida wedding, including claims that his mother Victoria dramatically hijacked what was meant to be his romantic first dance with wife Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn claimed the incident left him feeling ‘more uncomfortable and humiliated than ever in his life’, accusing his mother of dancing ‘inappropriately’ on him in a way he found deeply embarrassing.
Victoria is said to have been left ‘devastated’ after taking the brunt in the vicious family fallout with son Brooklyn and Nicola – as the internet continues to explode with memes, jokes and speculation over what Victoria’s dancing would have entailed.
And in a new twist, sources claim David and Victoria won’t be giving Brooklyn the time of day ‘if he is still with Nicola’.
‘Despite everything that’s happened, David and Victoria still love their son. He will always be their boy, and there will always be a place for him in their home.
‘They have tried everything in their power to mend their relationship with him and it hasn’t worked. Now it feels like there is no going back while he is still with Nicola’, according to The Sun.
The pair, who tied the knot in 1999, are also the parents of sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14.
Marcil’s backing of Brooklyn comes amid her ‘toxic’ co-parenting relationship with her ex.
Marcil and Green first began dating in 1999 after meeting on set of Beverly Hills, 90210 and became engaged in 2001. Their son Kassius was born the following year but the former couple split soon after.
Last year, Green reflected on his relationships with both Marcil and his ex-wife Megan Fox on a podcast episode.

‘I mean, the relationship that I had with Vanessa was very toxic in that way. Like, it wasn’t a loving, caring relationship.’
Marcil alleged in 2018 that both Green and then-wife Megan had ‘cut Kass out of their lives.’ However, Marcil later revealed that the Transformers actress apologized for her role in their family drama.
In response to a fan on Instagram, Marcil penned at the time: ‘She has apologized to both me and our child. She stated she is “disgusted” by her behavior. However, it wasn’t her job to keep a grown man/biological parent in his son’s life. That’s on him.’
He and Fox share three sons: Noah Shannon, 13, Bodhi Ransom, 11, and Journey River Green, nine.
He also shares three-year-old son Zane Walker with current partner Sharna Burgess.
Marcil has previously alleged that she raised Kassius all on her own. She also claimed that he had taken her to court for years and requested child support — which Green denied.
Green claimed on a September 2023 episode of his podcast Old-ish that Marcil kept their son away from him at one point.
He revealed that co-parenting Kassius with Marcil was ‘difficult from the beginning’ as he struggled with vertigo for years.

Burgess, who co-hosts the podcast, also spoke on their strained dynamic.
‘Those years that he wasn’t able to go see Kassius, Vanessa made no effort to make sure Brian got time with him,’ Burgess shared.
The Dancing With The Stars alum added, ‘Instead, she painted him as an absent father who chose not to be around for him. And I’m sure that information was fed to Kass, and I can’t imagine how damaging that was for him.’
Green piggybacked, ‘…To find out after the fact that at the point when I started getting better, that she then was painting it that I had abandoned Kass during that time, when the reality was I was dealing with such brain fog in what I was going through.’
