Union Minister Nitin Gadkari graced the special screening of Emergency, a film starring Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher, held in Nagpur on Saturday. Kangana was quick to share glimpses from the event on her Instagram handle. The actress also dropped a candid shot of Nitin Gadkari and Anupam Kher while they were engaged in conversation. She captioned the post, “#emergency with @gadkari.nitin ji, releasing 17th January.”
In the film, Kangana essays the role of Indira Gandhi, and her transformation has been widely lauded for its striking resemblance to the former Prime Minister.
Nitin Gadkari too took to X (previously Twitter) and lauded the Emergency team for their “authentic and excellent” portrayal of this “dark chapter” in Indian history. His post read, “Joined the special screening of the movie Emergency, featuring @KanganaTeam Ji and Shri @AnupamPKher Ji, in Nagpur today. I wholeheartedly thank the filmmakers and actors for presenting the dark chapter of our nation’s history with such authenticity and excellence. I urge everyone to watch this film, which portrays a significant period in India’s history.”
