Ugly Betty actor Eric Mabius was arrested for battery in Florida on Thursday morning with a shock mugshot showing the star’s battered face.
Mabius, 53, was booked into the Nassau County Jail and Detention Center just before 6am and faces two misdemeanor charges, battery and resisting an officer without violence, per TMZ.
The mugshot showed the near-unrecognizable star looking dazed, with what appeared to be a cut and purple bruise by his right eye, while clad in a prison jumpsuit.
DailyMail.com has contacted a representative for Mabius for comment.
Mabius is best known for his role as Mode fashion editor Daniel Meade on Ugly Betty alongside America Ferrera. The show ran from 2006-2010.

It won 42 awards and 92 nominations during its four-season run, including two Golden Globes – one for Best Comedy Series and the other for Ferrera, who won Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy in 2007.
After Ugly Betty went off the air, Mabius went on to star in the Hallmark Channel series Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
While it only lasted one season, it also spawned a slew of TV movies, with Mabius returning as Oliver O’Toole in 11 of them.
He also had a seven-episode arc on NBC’s Chicago Fire in 2015 and starred in the 2019 Hallmark movie It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.
Mabius early screen credits in the 1990s also include Chicago Hope, Party of Five and Get Real.
His most recent screen credit was in 2023’s Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up.
Speaking to TV Tonight in 2021 , Mabius confirmed that there have been talks about a possibly reunion or revival of Ugly Betty.
‘There’s something being discussed, but I’m not at liberty to say,’ he said cryptically.

‘We had an abrupt ending and I think that we all felt that we didn’t have enough time to finish telling the stories that needed to be told,’ he shared.
‘I think Ugly Betty was ahead of its time and I think that it would be more timely right now than ever.’
Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in January 2020.
He had previously spoken about being overwhelmed by the demands of his job.
He revealed in a 2008 interview that the success of Ugly Betty was not all that he thought it would be.
Mabius was wed to Ivy Sherman from 2006-2018 and the former couple share two sons aged 18 and 16.
He debuted a new girlfriend in 2024 but has not publicly revealed her name.
