In a shocking incident, a TV actress has filed a complaint against her co-star for alleged molestation at a Holi party in Mumbai. The Holi party was held on March 14th in the western suburbs, where the actress revealed that her co-star touched her inappropriately. The actress immediately filed an FIR against the actor with the Mumbai Police, accusing him of applying colour to her without her consent. The identities of the actor and the actress have not been out yet.
As per the reports, the actress has worked in several TV shows and also a mini-series. She has recorded a statement with the police. In the statement, the actress confessed that when her co-actor touched her inappropriately, she was quite shocked. In a statement, the actress told the police, “He was trying to put colours on me and other women in the party. I did not want to play Holi with him; hence, I objected and went away from him. I went and hid myself behind the panipuri stall at the terrace, but he came after me and tried to put colour on me.”
The actress added, “I covered my face, but he forcefully grabbed me and put colour on my cheeks and then told me, ‘I love you and will see who saves you from me.’ After this, he touched me inappropriately and put colour on me. I pushed him away. I was mentally shocked and went straight to the washroom.”
As reported by Times Now, the actress revealed that when she told her friends about the incident, they confronted the actor. However, he even misbehaved with her friends. A sub-inspector told the media, “On the complaint of the actress, we have booked the accused male artist. We have served him a notice and are investigating the case. We will be recording the statements of others present at the party and also checking CCTV footage.”
The actor is booked by the police under Section 71, (1)(i) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
