She’s their “Angel in the Outfield.”
Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce alluded to Taylor Swift’s “voodoo” powers while discussing sports movies in Wednesday’s “New Heights” podcast episode.
While Jason said “Space Jam” is his favorite flick, Travis noted that he is a fan of any film about Major League Baseball.
“‘Rookie of the Year,’ ‘Angels in the Outfield’ — I’d love to f–king feel what it’s like,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, said before his older brother jumped back in.
“I feel like you guys are the ‘Angels in the Outfield.’ … There’s some unknown like …” Jason, 36, said before drifting off and laughing.
“Here he goes with this Tayvoodoo s–t,” an exasperated Travis said before chuckling, too. “This dude is such a d–khead.”
Eventually, the three-time Super Bowl champion settled on “Little Giants” as his favorite.
“Angels in the Outfield” is a 1994 movie about a foster kid who loves the Anaheim Angels despite being the worst team in the Major Leagues. After his dad promises to reunite the family if the Angels make it to the World Series, the child asks for divine help. A real angel then shows up and helps the team make it to the World Series.
Since going public with her relationship with Travis in September 2023, Swift has become a staple at many NFL games, which has, in turn, infuriated some football fans.
However, many Swifties have noticed that a team will lose whenever they or their fans openly bash Swift’s presence. In fact, the Chiefs have won every game that the Grammy winner, 34, has attended.
On Friday, the Chiefs faced the Las Vegas Raiders, and although it seemed like the latter would win, the former made a comeback with a final score of 19-17.
Many fans then took to social media to say it was all thanks to “Tayvoodoo.”
“week 13 of the season, tayprincess in attendance, the flag thrown at the 13th second mark…. tayvoodoo doing its thing again,” one person wrote on X, while another shared a clip of Swift pointing, calling it “tayvoodoo.”
A third posted a photo of Swift at the game, writing, “this was the exact moment tayvoodoo was enacted.”
Tayvoodoo has been a topic for many years, as Swifties have pointed out that those who wrong Swift get canceled. This includes Kanye West, Scooter Braun, Kim Kardashian and Matty Healy.
Swift was named Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2024 on Wednesday, marking her second year in a row taking the title.
“That’s right, it’s Taylor Swift!” Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s global head of editorial, said during a virtual press briefing attended by Page Six. “With more than 26.6 billion streams globally this year, Taylor is our Global Top Artist for the second year in a row.”
Her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day when it dropped earlier this year. Thanks to “TTPD,” the singer also became the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history.
In April, the “Lover” singer reached Forbes billionaire status and her Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour by any musician of all time.
She was also named the world’s richest female musician in October.
