Travis Kelce shared his best piece of advice when it comes to landing your dream girl.
Travis, 36, gave a hilarious response when asked for his best dating advice during an episode of his “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts with brother Jason Kelce. In the clip, which was shared via YouTube on Friday, February 27, a fan called into the show and asked, “There’s a girl that I really like. How can I ask her out?”
Travis replied, “I think first, you gotta figure out what you like about her. [Do] you like the way she looks? Do you like the way she dresses? Do you like how funny she is? Do you like how kind she is?” He then suggested the fan “compliment” the girl to get one foot “in the door” and gauge her interest.
“Here, kid. Start a podcast with your brother,” Travis said through laughter. “Go on the podcast.”
Travis was referencing when he put Taylor Swift on blast during a July 2023 episode of his “New Heights” podcast after attending her Eras Tour.
“It was an unbelievable show,” he recalled. “Everybody was dressed in pink and purple, going crazy for her. I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. I wanted to give her [a bracelet] with my number on it.”
Swift, also 36, later opened up about hearing the podcast episode during a December 2023 interview with TIME, sharing that she thought his shout-out was “very adorable.”
She also opened up about taking her relationship with Travis public. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she explained.
The couple have publicly supported each other multiple times throughout their relationship. Swift has gone to a number of his Kansas City Chiefs football games, including the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl. Travis has also gone to a number of Swift’s Eras Tour shows and even danced on stage with her in London.
In August 2025, Swift and Travis announced their engagement via Instagram.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they captioned a joint post that showed her massive engagement ring and Travis getting down on one knee and proposing.
In October 2025, Swift opened up about her custom sparkler, designed by Kindred Lubeck, who she once gushed about to her fiancé.
“He designed it with this amazing jeweler, Kindred Lubeck,” she explained during an interview with the U.K.’s Heart radio. “She does all of her gold engraving by hand.”
She added, “When I saw the ring, I was just, like, [gasping]. I was like, ‘I know who made that! I know who made that! And also, you listen to me.’ He did amazing, it was, like, ‘You really know me.’”
She went on to say that she “didn’t know” what kind of ring she would want, but Travis delivered, which was “a flex.”
“You would think that I had been the type of person who would have been obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would do or what I would want until I met the person,” Swift explained. “So, I haven’t actually even thought about that [or] doing a [bachelorette party] or whatever.”
She also shared that she and Travis hadn’t started planning the wedding at the time. “We’re taking baby steps,” she said. “We’re putting one foot in front of the other.”
Swift concluded the interview by gushing about how “excited” she is to marry Travis. “He’s the most fun person [and] he’s such a natural in life, like, he’s never been nervous about anything in his entire life,” she gushed. “It’s pretty fun, he’s all the things — he’s fun and vibrant and has this infectious personality [and] makes me laugh so much.”
