Timothée Chalamet may be leaving Christmas shopping a little too close to the date, but who can blame him when he’s been busy promoting a new film.

On a recent episode of the “Heart Breakfast” podcast, hosted by Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, Chalamet, 29, revealed that though he hasn’t quite gotten around to actually getting it yet, his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s Christmas gift will be amazing.

“She will see,” he said. “It’ll be good.”

Chalamet continued that he was also planning to shop around while on the London stop of his press tour for his newest film, Marty Supreme.

Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been causing a stir since they were first linked in April 2023. News broke in spring 2023 that the Kardashians star and the Oscar nominee were spending time together following Jenner’s split from on-off boyfriend Travis Scott. “I was hoping to find some local goods for friends and family,” he said. “What’s that chocolate store here called?” Chalamet asked the hosts of the English podcast.

Theakston and Holden, both 54, tossed out a few suggestions to the Beautiful Boy actor, who seemed unsure if those were the spots he was thinking of.

“Legoland is over there,” Holden later joked. “Does Kylie like to build Legos?”

Chalamet and Jenner, 28, who started dating in April 2023, were recently spotted packing on the PDA at the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme. The pair, who have been relatively quiet about their relationship in the past, donned matching Chrome Hearts bright orange outfits, which has become Chalamet’s signature color during this press tour.

Jenner was also seen supporting Chalamet at the New York premiere of the film in October. Variety reported on October 7 that the couple “sat in a corner booth cuddling as partygoers congratulated Chalamet on his performance.”

The couple has encountered their fair share of speculations about the status of their relationship. Most recently, there were reports in November that the pair had called it quits after Chalamet did not appear at Jenner’s mother Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party.

Later a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the couple were “still very much together and committed” despite Chalamet’s absence at the event.

“Timothée wasn’t at Kris’ party because he is filming two huge projects right now and is working,” the source told Us. “He has been on set for Dune, but he and Kylie FaceTime every day.”

Marty Supreme is slated to hit theaters Christmas Day and has already received lots of buzz around it, in part for the way the actor has been promoting it.

In the sports comedy, Chalamet stars as the titular character, Marty Mauser, who is training to become a ping-pong champion. The character is vaguely based on Marty Reisman, a former professional table tennis player who died in 2012 at 82.

The official synopsis of the A24 film, which is written and directed by Josh Safdie, traces Marty as “a young man with a dream no one respects,” who will go “to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.”

“It’s a movie about dreaming big. It’s a movie about ambition,” Chalamet said on the “Heart Breakfast” podcast. “It’s a movie about, even in a bleak time, believing in your singular purpose in life, which sounds kind of cheesy these days because we live in dark times, but I think it’s an important message. Not only for young people, but all people alike. To know you can dream big and you can achieve that.”
