Some actors get a great start to their careers and the potential to become the next big star. However, their fate changes and their careers never reach the desired path. Despite being talented and hard-working, they take certain decisions that completely change their lives. One such actor was in the 90s who would have been as big as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, or Akshay Kumar. But things didn’t turn out in his favour.
This actor was called the next Rajesh Khanna or Amitabh Bachchan. In 1992, he made his Bollywood debut with the movie Dil Ka Kya Kasoor. Directed by Lawrence D’Souza, he starred alongside Divya Bharti in the romantic drama, which was a hit. However, things changed drastically for him. So who is he? Well, the actor is Prithvi Vazir.
After a smashing Bollywood debut, the audience had a keen interest in knowing what Prithvi Vazir would do next. Before Shah Rukh Khan, Prithvi was the choice for the movies Deewana and Darr. Sadly, a contract forced him to not sign any movie. At that time, he was associated with producer Mukesh Duggal and his contract.
As reported by India.com, in an interview, the actor said that he didn’t disappear from movies. But the contract had him stuck. “I was trapped in a contract from which it was very difficult to get out. And they tied up my peak time. I didn’t disappear. I was always alive in the hearts of my fans. I could not do films as I was stuck in the contract.”
Even though his journey started as a lead hero, Prithvi Vazir eventually had to do supporting roles in movies like Ghulam, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Humraaz, Maa Tujhe Salaam, Khajar, and Jimmy. He even tried to work in TV shows, but nothing worked in his favour. Currently, he lives a simple life in Mumbai and is reportedly waiting for an opportunity that will change his life.
