Taylor Frankie Paul’s temper allegedly rose during production of her now-scuttled season of The Bachelorette – after she was asked about her legal issues.
Paul, 31, was on an individual date with contestant Casey Hux, who inquired about her 2023 domestic violence arrest, an insider told TMZ on Monday.
The Pueblo, Colorado-born reality star had ‘a full-fledged meltdown’ when Hux asked her about the incident, a separate source told the outlet.
She ‘stormed off the set’ when the touchy topic was brought up by Hux, the source said.
The reason why Hux asked Paul about her arrest was his hope of gaining an understanding of what life lessons she might have gleaned from the unfortunate series of events, a source told the outlet.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Paul’s representative and Hux for further comment on the story.

Hux would not have a chance to see the video TMZ posted Thursday, which showed Paul attacking her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, 33, with her minor daughter present.
The jarring clip led ABC to abruptly cancel Paul’s season last week – on the verge of its premiere, as it had been slated to debut Sunday.
Disney Entertainment Television said last week, ‘In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.’
Hux, a Nashville-based mechanical engineer, took to Instagram last month with a Bachelorette-themed post in which he showed off the traits he believed Paul was looking for in a partner.
They consisted of a penchant for fitness, sports, dancing, Western style and chivalry, as Hux dropped to one knee in the clip to signify his desire for a serious relationship with Paul, who rose to fame appearing on Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
‘Sorry it’s taking so long Taylor, but your husband is coming,’ Hux wrote in an adjacent caption to the February 23 Instagram post.
He continued: ‘This is my way of saying I’m beyond thrilled and blessed to share I’ve been selected to be one of [the] men on the TFP’s season of the Bachelorette!’
Hux acknowledged he was ‘trying to find the most important thing’ in life – ‘real love’ – in a fashion that was ‘unconventional.’

Calling his participation on the series ‘BY FAR the biggest and most unexpected risk [he’d] ever taken,’ Hux said he was focused on a serious romance with Paul.
‘To have the opportunity to see if there is that potential with a woman like Taylor, is worth the risk, even if it is in a format I’m probably vastly unprepared for,’ he said.
Hux lauded his family and friends for their ‘patience, kindness, and love,’ adding that if he can show Paul a fraction of what he’s received from others emotionally, he was confident he could make her ‘truly feel like the most special woman in the world.’
In related news, body camera footage pulled from Paul’s 2023 arrest showed her ex-boyfriend Mortensen trying to persuade police to take him to jail instead of her.
In the clip, which was published Monday on TMZ, Paul and Mortensen were bickering as police knocked on the front door.

Police separated the two as an aggressive Paul tried to pour herself a water and began crying.
Mortensen told responding officers that Paul was ‘not doing OK’ while giving them a glimpse into the violence he alleged he suffered at her hands.
‘I can’t even tell you the stuff that’s happened to me,’ Mortensen said, showing off injuries he claimed came from Paul.
At that point, Paul re-emerged, and told Mortensen to leave immediately.
After Paul was arrested, Mortensen asked police officers if he could go to jail instead of her, saying that he just wanted her ‘to get help.’
Paul in August of 2023 entered a plea of guilty to aggravated assault in connection with the February 2023 incident. Four other charges were dropped as part of the deal, and probation she’s been on since then is slated to conclude in August.
