Tay Ping Hui's mother has died. The Singaporean actor, who turns 56 in November, announced the news in an Instagram post today (Aug 13). His mother, whose age was not shared, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. Though the tumour got smaller through radiation and chemotherapy, it recently grew with the cancer spreading to her liver. She died more than a week ago and an exact date was not specified. "I have been unable to bring myself to post anything remotely happy because it has been physically, mentally and emotionally challenging over the past few months," Ping Hui said.
